Aluminum Hydroxide (ATH)
ATH flame-retardant and filler grades for cable compounds, solid surface and filled polymer systems — producer-direct.
Overview
Aluminum hydroxide releases water when heated, cooling the material and diluting flammable gases — which is why ATH is the standard halogen-free flame retardant and smoke suppressant in cable compounds, solid surface and filled polymers. Like our alumina, ATH is sourced directly from major producers and labelled honestly as such.
Applications
- Wire and cable compounds (halogen-free flame retardance)
- Solid surface and artificial stone
- Rubber and polymer compounds
- Glass, ceramics and paper filler applications

Frequently asked
Which grade fits our compound?
Share your polymer system, loading target and current grade; particle size and surface treatment decide processability, so we confirm against producer data before quoting.
Can we trial it first?
Yes — take a sample quantity and run it on your line before a bulk order.
Is ATH really halogen-free flame retardance?
Yes. ATH works by endothermic water release, with no halogens involved — a standard choice where low smoke and low toxicity matter.
